Did you know that you need to hydrate more than normal when you are exercising?

Women should be consuming 9 eight ounce glasses of water per day.

Men should be consuming 12 eight ounce glasses of water per day.

And, for athletics, 1 cup should be consumed for every 15-20 minutes of exercise.

After exercise, 2-3 eight ounce cups of water per pound of weight lost. Many athletics today require before and after weight measurements to ensure appropriate hydration especially during high heat!

And, remember, that caffeine and high salt content foods will dehydrate you! So you have to also offset that intake with MORE WATER!
