Want to learn how online or telehealth physical therapy can help knee pain?
You do not need a referral from a doctor to see me for one month. But, a physician referral is welcome and it enables me to see you longer than a month for physical therapy sessions. We can do a free 15 minute screen to determine if sessions would be right for you, but generally we can schedule an initial visit.
Next, we would need to do paperwork. Once that is completed, and a visit is scheduled, then we sit down for an evaluation!

Virtual physical therapy visit for your knee
You would need about one hour of time so that I can sit down with you one-on-one and figure out what is going on! I will talk to you about your paperwork, ask questions, and figure out where to go from there. A thorough history is ESSENTIAL to appropriate and high level care. It is at least 50% (if not more) of the information I need to treat you, whether in person or online.
After we finish talking, I will watch you move and take measurements of your knee. Yes, I can take measurements through a computer screen! I will watch to see where you may have asymmetries visually side to side, and see where maybe your posture or movements may need some work with how you sit, stand, and walk. I can even take still shots and short videos to show you what I am seeing. Often times, seeing is believing!

Virtual physical therapy exercises for your knee
After we have discussed your history and taken measurements, I will know what exercises to prescribe. I will play videos for you to watch so you know what to do, and then I will take you through the exercises step by step. And, lucky you, I can pick on your form and tell you how to do the exercises right. You will just need some space on a couch, bed, or floor, you will need to place me where I can see you, and we will go through the program!

Virtual physical therapy follow-up
The best part about our first session, is that we can decide whether we need to do a follow up session. Since I have my doctorate and am able to do direct access without a provider’s referral, I have 4 weeks to treat you without a referral in South Carolina, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania, and 3 weeks in Georgia. We can plan for a few follow-ups, or one follow up, or none! Whatever works best with your budget, your home exercise program, and your progress.
Telehealth Physical Therapy is meant to be very independent, and for those who just need guidance. But, I can be more involved for whoever needs more of my time. That is the best part about doing an evaluation and being one-on-one – we can decide what is right for you!
