Online or Virtual Physical Therapy in PA
I, Dr Barb Wally, am licensed to treat patients in the state of Pennsylvania. The way state licensing works for Telehealth or Online or Virtual Physical Therapy, is the practitioner must be licensed in the state that the patient resides in. And, that practitioner must follow all of the state licensing requirements of the patient’s resident state.
I am also originally from Pennsylvania. I grew up in the North Hills of Pittsburgh, and I am still an avid Steelers fan. I also went to the University of Pittsburgh for undergrad and graduate school for Physical Therapy. Little known fact is that the University of Pittsburgh has one of the best schools of Physical Therapy in the nation. They have been able to continue this since I started attending Physical Therapy school in 2007 clear to present day!
I also did not obtain a compact licensure in Pennsylvania. I actually renewed my original license that I obtained after graduating from Physical Therapy school in 2010. I let it lapse after I had been in South Carolina for a few years, and did not imagine moving back at the time. Turns out, I did not need to move back, but I would want it again the future to treat patients via telehealth! My full license renewal and maintenance means I have all the required clearances of other licensees of the state, including the every-other-year necessary child abuse reporting training.

Being licensed in the state of Pennsylvania, this includes all of the major cities in the state. From my home town city of Pittsburgh, to Philadelphia, Harrisburg, Allentown, Erie and Scranton.

Even more valuable to the residents of Pennsylvania is the ability to access my Physical Therapy services virtually in the rural parts of the state. Often, rural parts of the state do not have access to high quality Physical Therapy services. However, as long as a person has high speed wifi, and a cell phone, tablet, or laptop, they can access my services from anywhere in the state of Pennsylvania!
Lycoming, Centre, Crawford, and Potter counties in Pennsylvania can benefit the most from my services, due to the difficulty residents have accessing nearby and high quality Physical Therapy in these rural counties.
So whether you are also in the western part of Pennsylvania where I grew up, the eastern part of the state, or in the center near State College or Harrisburg, reach out to me for access to top notch Physical Therapy care!
