Did you know that scar massage after surgery is very important?
As scar tissue heals, it can become very thick and adhere to surrounding structures. This can include muscle, tendons, bone, and other soft tissue.
You can start soft tissue scar massage when your doctor allows it, or typically when it is completely closed and there are no scabs.
