Are you dealing with foot pain and you can’t figure out why or where it came from?  Then this article is for you!

So why are you dealing with foot pain that will not go away?

Because you are barefoot often, you wear flip flops, or wear shoes that are not right for you.

Let’s start with barefoot.  This includes at home, especially if you find yourself on hard floors and do not wear slippers with support.  I would suggest you turn a pair of shoes into a house shoe which doing chores or cooking, and/or choose a slipper with a rubber sole and a supportive footbed.  Also, wear shoes when outside for long periods of time.

Next, lets talk about flip flops.  Flip flops can be ok in the summer, especially if you can see the arch lifted under the arch.  And the flip flop is more firm to support your foot.  You may have to pay a steeper price for shoes, and even Birkenstock sandals make a great, supportive option.

Finally, if you don’t know if your shoes are right for you, then you likely need to go to a specialty shoe store to be fitted for sneakers.  Exercise shoe stores like New Balance or Fleet Feet can help scan and measure your feet, and ensure you get the right shoe for you.

I hope this helps!  Please reach out to me if you are struggling with foot pain!
